The “tree of life” in Gen 2:9 becomes “a river of water of life”
in Rev 22:1.

“And on this side of the river and on that was the tree of life, bearing twelve manner of fruits, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” Rev 22:2.  No place in the Bible is there a concise description of the tree of life, its purpose, nor how or why it is used; other than “for the healing of the nations.”  Yet the concept of the tree of life is woven, under the surface, through out the Bible.  Yet still, the concept may have been hiding in plain sight and spelled out by Jesus in 3 words, with a 5 word example.  We will discuss this later in more detail.

Harmonious Life is Based on Obeying The Word of God

In the Garden of Eden Adam & Eve experienced harmony: with God; with one's self; with one another; and, with the rest of creation.  This harmony is based on obeying "The Word of God."

There were 2 trees in the middle of the Garden of Eden (the tree of Life & the tree of the Knowledge of good & evil—Genesis 2:9b); “Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” (Genesis 2:16b-17.)

The Harmonious Life God created for us depends upon obeying God's Word.
