There is a good chance that God will continue to give humans free will during the New Era. This will allow us to continue to experiment with various forms of government. Let us pray that during the transition some of the people God has called are prayerfully seeking God's guidance regarding government in the new era.
The Bible says that God spoke directly to Moses, Samuel, and the prophets; but the people stubbornly refused to listen. The people did what was right in their own eyes (a form of democracy?) during the period of the Judges. There were a series of kings (1 & 2 Kings and 1 & 2 Chronicles). The early church (in Acts 4:32-35++) lived in a communal relationship. What has history taught us about various forms of government? What should be used and what should be discarded in the new era?
Re-read Jesus' parables about the Kingdom of Heaven in the Gospels. It seems that everyone is not equal in the kingdom, see Matthew chapter13 for example. "Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance." (Matthew 13:12; also see 21:43, 25:29 & Luke 12:48b). Humility, concern for others, repentance and forgiveness are very important; see Mathew chapter 18 for example. "...whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant." (Matthew 20:26; also see 24:45 & 25:35). The whole book of Matthew has parables of the kingdom. How does this fit into the government of the new era?
Some features of the government in the new era may be:
A profound recognition that every element of the universe was created for a purpose and is important to our well being.
Human beings have an important role in our universe.
Humans need to incorporate God's Word into action while working as a group.
Incentives to work hard and work smart.
A safety net for those less fortunate.
Strong sense of "Brotherly Love" in all cases, and to overcome:
Laziness -- need strong, positive encouragement to use one's talents and abilities in a productive manner.
Greed, insensitivity, apathy toward others. In strong societies no one feels taken advantage of; every one contributes and is recognized and complemented.
